==Geography==
Red Chute is bordered to the west by [[Bossier City, Louisiana|Bossier City]] and to the east by [[Eastwood, Louisiana|Eastwood]]. U.S. Routes [[U.S. Route 80|80]]/[[U.S. Route 79|79]] is the main highway through Red Chute, leading west {{convert|8|mi|0}} to downtown [[Shreveport, Louisiana|Shreveport]]. [[Interstate 20]] forms the southern edge of the CDP but has no direct access to it. [[Interstate 220 (Louisiana)|Interstate 220]] branches off I-20 in Bossier City, just to the west of Red Chute, with the closest access to the CDP from Exit 17 (US 80/79).

The population density was {{convert|644.1|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. There were 2,308 housing units at an average density of {{convert|248.4|/sqmi|/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. The racial makeup of the CDP was 88.87% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 7.22% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.74% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 0.80% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], 0.08% [[Pacific Islander (U.S. Census)|Pacific Islander]], 0.75% from [[Race (United States Census)|other races]], and 1.54% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 3.09% of the population.
