==Geography==

[[Interstate 20]] passes {{convert|1|mi}} south of the town, with access from Exit 121 (Seven Islands Road). Via I-20, Buckhead is {{convert|65|mi}} east of [[Atlanta]] and {{convert|85|mi}} west of [[Augusta, Georgia|Augusta]].

According to the [[United States Census Bureau]], Buckhead has a total area of {{convert|0.8|sqmi|1}}, of which {{convert|0.008|sqmi|km2|2}}, or 0.99%, are water.<ref name="CenPopGazetteer2022"/> The town is drained to the north by tributaries of the [[Apalachee River (Georgia)|Apalachee River]] and to the south by tributaries of Sugar Creek, both of which flow southeast to the [[Oconee River]].
