In [[Greek mythology]], '''Candalus''' ({{Langx|grc|Κάνδαλος|Kándalos}}) was one of the [[Heliadae]], a son of [[Rhodos]] and [[Helios]].<ref>[[Diodorus Siculus]], [https://penelope.uchicago.edu/Thayer/E/Roman/Texts/Diodorus_Siculus/5D*.html#56.5 5.56.5]</ref> Candalus, along with his brothers, [[Triopas]], [[Macareus (son of Helios)|Macar]] and [[Actis (mythology)|Actis]], were jealous of their fifth brother, [[Tenages]]. They were jealous of his skills in science, and so they murdered him.
