This template is intended for use on Wikipedia:Arguments to avoid in deletion discussions and similar pages. Because the sections in these essays are often linked directly via shortcuts, the text at the top of the essays is often missed; this note provides a reminder to readers to pay attention to the introductory text, not just the text of the section linked.

Usage

Insert this template after the section heading, shortcut template, and any cross-reference templates, and before the examples and explanatory material in the section.

Parameters

• |type= – changes the default word "deletion" to something else, e.g. |type=Wikipedia for WP:Arguments to avoid on discussion pages
