Summary
| DescriptionNucleosynthesis periodic table.svg |
English: A periodic table showing the origins of the elements in the Solar System, based on data by Jennifer Johnson at Ohio State University. The percentages of each element's origins are represented by squares (out of a hundred) to make it easier to estimate proportions; hovering over the SVG image gives precise figures as tooltips. Elements above lawrencium are not included. Johnson's explanation cautions, "We still don’t know everything..." The image is NASA's Astronomy Picture of the Day 2020-08-09, 2017-10-24 and 2023-01-08.
