Kincaid is a village in Christian County, Illinois. The population was 1,349 at the 2020 census.
Geography
[edit]According to the 2021 census gazetteer files, Kincaid has a total area of 0.82 square miles (2.12 km2), all land.[4] The village is located near Sangchris Lake.
Demographics

[edit]As of the 2020 census, Kincaid had a population of 1,349, with 624 households and 383 families residing in the village.[5][6] The population density was 1,651.16 inhabitants per square mile (637.52/km2). There were 691 housing units at an average density of 845.78 per square mile (326.56/km2).[6]
The median age was 42.5 years. 20.0% of residents were under the age of 18 and 19.7% were 65 years of age or older. For every 100 females, there were 92.4 males, and for every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 93.0 males.[5]
0.0% of residents lived in urban areas, while 100.0% lived in rural areas.[7]
Of the 624 households, 25.5% had children under the age of 18 living in them. Of all households, 38.0% were married-couple households, 22.3% were households with a male householder and no spouse or partner present, and 29.2% were households with a female householder and no spouse or partner present. About 35.0% of all households were made up of individuals, and 15.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.[5]
Of the 691 housing units, 9.7% were vacant. The homeowner vacancy rate was 2.5%, and the rental vacancy rate was 10.6%.[5]
