Most issues relating to national variations of the English language have already been discussed here at length:

To report an error in current or upcoming Main Page content, please add it to the appropriate section below.
- Where is the error? An exact quote of all or part of the text in question will help.
- Please offer a correction if possible.
- References are helpful, especially when reporting an obscure factual or grammatical error.
- Time zones: The Main Page runs on Coordinated Universal Time (UTC, currently 23:33 on 14 May 2026), not adjusted to your local time zone.
- Do not use {{edit fully-protected}}, which will not give you a faster response; it is unnecessary as this page is not protected and will in fact cause problems if used here, as this is not a talk page. (See the bottom of this revision for an example.)
- Done? Once an error has been fixed, rotated off the Main Page or acknowledged not to be an error, the report will be removed from this page; please check the page's revision history for any discussion or action taken, as no archives are kept.
- No chit-chat: Lengthy discussions should be moved to a suitable location elsewhere.
- Please respect other editors. A real person wrote the blurb or hook for which you are suggesting a fix, or a real person noticed what they honestly believe is an issue with the blurb or hook that you wrote. Everyone is interested in creating the best Main Page possible; with the compressed time frame, there is sometimes more stress and more opportunities to step on toes. Please be civil to fellow users.
- Can you resolve the problem yourself? If the error lies primarily in the content of an article linked from the Main Page, consider first attempting to fix the problem there before reporting it here if necessary. Text on the Main Page generally defers to the bolded articles. In addition, upcoming content is typically only protected from editing 24 hours before its scheduled appearance; in most cases, you can be bold and fix any issues yourself.

Today's OTD
- 1996 – The school board of Oakland, California, passed a controversial resolution officially declaring African-American Vernacular English to be a separate language or dialect.
- The bolded text should probaby link directly to African-American Vernacular English and education#Oakland Ebonics resolution. Also, given that the item is so link-heavy, maybe it's enough just to link "controversial resolution" instead of "passed a controversial resolution." -Elmer Clark (talk) 18:57, 17 December 2021 (UTC)
- Bolded text on the Main Page doesn't conventionally target sections of articles, since the featured content is the article as a whole. Linking just "controversial resolution" might run afoul of MOS:EGG (unintuitiveness): the article is about the use of AAVE in educational contexts, rather than the specific resolution of the school board; the current link text alleviates this somewhat. — RAVENPVFF · talk · 12:49, 18 December 2021 (UTC)
Tomorrow's OTD
- Dec 20 Médecins Sans Frontières 1971 - The date for charter has been changed from 20 to 22 December since MSF last appeared in OTD. Page 47 of Ref 9 Bortolotti, Dan (2004). Hope in Hell: Inside the World of Doctors Without Borders says MSF "sign the first charter on December 20, 1971" but the MFS site has "MSF is officially created on 22 December 1971". JennyOz (talk) 02:45, 19 December 2021 (UTC)
- Good catch, JennyOz! The MSF blurb is now on the Dec.22nd template and File:Substitution.svg Replaced on the Dec.20th template with a blurb on United Nations Convention Against Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances. --PFHLai (talk) 15:35, 19 December 2021 (UTC)
